The Extreme Wellness Clinic hair restoration process uses an FDA approved hair re-growth compound. Used with this compounded formula is an additive that increases the effectiveness of the main ingredient.
Office visits are necessary to begin the process. (Office visits will result in better penetration of the product vs. the home treatments.) Office visits require one visit each week for approximately 1/2 hour. Depending on the results of an individuals treatments, patients may be able to use the home treatment as directed by Dr. Pickens.
Treatment time will vary. The average time for patients to see significant hair growth is from 4 to 6 months. Many patients see results within 1 month. It is difficult to determine how individual patients will respond. Patients with thinning hair and male pattern baldness in the crown will benefit most from this treatment. Patients with complete hair loss are not ideal candidates for this hair restoration process.
There are no age restrictions; however, younger patients prove to show faster results. Hair restoration is for both men and women. Results vary.
The consultation fee for hair restoration is $75.00.
Scalp Reduction is a surgical alternative. A section of bald scalp is removed and a section of scalp with hair is stretched to that area and placed over the area of the once bald scalp. The hair growth product is then used to increase the hair in that area. Not all patients are candidates for this procedure. Consultation would be required. Scalp Reduction is not a general procedure.
