Portrait Receives FDA Clearance for Non-facial Wrinkles
The Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration system (Portrait P SR3) has received clearance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in treating non-facial wrinkles. In 2005, the system was cleared for the treatment of wrinkles of the face, and in 2003, it was cleared for the treatment of facial and non-facial areas for superficial skin lesions, actinic keratosis, seborrhoeic keratosis, and viral papillomata. This new FDA clearance, coupled with the previous clearances, makes it the only plasma skin regeneration technology available for patients seeking cosmetic improvement for individual or simultaneous treatment of wrinkles, benign skin lesions, and sun damage of the whole body.
